The "African Plume Orchid" was introduced from Zululand, Natal, and South Africa, where it grows in only a few locations as a lithophyte (on rocks). The attractive spikes bloom many small, lilac, speckled flowers. When grown in partial shade, either in intermediate or cool conditions, this is one of the easiest orchids to grow and bloom, but be aware : it is fully deciduous, losing all of its leaves every year before it grows its new leaves to bloom in the Autumn.Temperature Tolerant.
