Richly colorful and profusely blooming sprays of flowers make this primary hybrid Encyclia quite eye-catching! These handsome seedlings have a showy pink lip and a color range between mahogany-brown to burgundy-purple, in varying tints and saturation. The deep colors, burgundy hues, pink lip and larger flowers come from E. cordigera, while pastel hues and branching floral display are from E. incumbens. Some seedlings may also be sweetly fragrant!
In full flower these first-bloom seedlings may only stand up to 12 inches tall with a small cluster of flowers, but the floral display grows taller with more flowers as the plant matures over time; seedlings taking after E. incumbens develop branches. An outstanding orchid for the indoor collection, possibly only suitable for outdoor growing year-round in very mild climates.
Established blooming-size seedlings. 'Seedlings' are the offspring of pollination; as siblings they may have similarities, yet each seedling is unique and no two seedlings are identical in precise color, shape, or display. Enjoy the surprise!
