This exciting Encyclia primary-hybrid is from the cross between the rare Encyclia fowliei and the prolific Encyclia incumbens. The charmingly rounded petals and petal veination pattern of these seedlings are traits from E. fowliei, while the suffuse soft-pink lip color is from E. incumbens.
Flower color ranges in muted hues of amber, yellow, and olive green, with veination colors from pink to golden. Blooms as an upright to arching spray of one-and-a-quarter inch flowers from very compact growing foliage about eight inches tall. E. incumbens may also impart mild fragrance to some seedlings.
Established first-bloom seedlings. 'Seedlings' are the offspring of pollination; as siblings they may be similar, yet each is unique and no two are identical in precise color or shape. There is no way to tell ahead of time exactly what coloration each seedling will display. Enjoy the surprise!
