This exciting Encyclia hybrid is expected to bring out the alluring colors and profuse display of the genus, which makes such outstanding companion plants to Cymbidiums and outdoor Laelias. Mature foliage may stand up to 10 inches tall, with large specimens' arching flower sprays about 24 inches long.
The burgundy and olive hues come from Enc. Standard Setter, a primary hybrid between two of the most colorful and fragrant Encyclia species. The earlier bloom time of late Spring and the branching floral display come from Encyclia incumbens, which may also impart delightful pastel hues.
The plants offered here are established, first-bloom seedlings! The seedlings' blooms are likely to be similar, and yet, like most siblings, each is unique. We have strong reason to anticipate a fairly even melding of the parent flowers, however there is no way to tell ahead of time exactly what colors and display each seedling will favor: enjoy the surprise!
