A select form of this famous species, with its lovely green petals and uniquely breathtaking white lip. A key feature of this species, distinctive to its exotic and showy beauty, is the 'fimbriated' (hair-like frills) edge of the lip. It is said that if you measured along the lip, around every 'frill', the circumference would total between 20 and 30 feet!
Because it is pollinated by moths in nature the blossoms produce a sweet fragrance at night. This flower is so admired it is officially registered as a parent in 428 crosses!
