Dendrobium speciosum var. pedunculatum One of the seven forms of the species
Dendrobium speciosum. In nature this orchid is found in the dividing range in Queensland, and it is also one of the few orchids that to be found on the inland, dry side of those mountains.
The plant is dwarfish in contrast to other forms of the species, making it one of the most compact natural varieties. Flower and inflorescence size are very similar to the other forms: the little flowers are creamy yellow and bloom profusely along the erect spikes that are a signature feature of this variety. A mature flower-spike can bloom more than fifty flowers!
Temperature Tolerant. January - February blooming. Species from Australia.
