This gorgeous, Australian species is so lovely it is no wonder the people of its native Queensland voted for it to be their State floral emblem! Lush, shapely flowers of intense dusk-pink with darker accents on the lip. Compact growth-habit accommodates small pot sizes while producing sizable, arching foliage canes. A superb, light-loving species for the indoor or greenhouse grower.
NOTE: Requires Winter dry rest, and is partially deciduous.
The dry rest should last about 3 months in Winter, with only sporadic misting every several weeks; resuming watering in Spring when the new growths are about two inches tall.
Older canes eventually shed away all their leaves, but keep these canes in place: these bare canes will continue to bloom splendidly for several years!
Intermediate growing. October-November blooming. Species from Australia.
