These delicate hues are the key feature of this unusual color-form of Brazilian Cattleya species. The most striking difference is the lip: the cream background has a gentle, suffused, rosy-pink blush instead of the bold contrast that defines the standard form. The lip is framed by waxy petals of amber hues, green in the background overlaid with coppery-brown.
Flowers may open pale and greener, but rapidly become more pink and amber in bright light conditions. One of Brazil's extraordinarily resilient bifoilate Cattleyas. This species develops especially tall foliage, and this variety often has greenery over two feet tall on large specimens!
