This petite, Caribbean species produces a colorful cluster of 5 to 7 cerise-pink flowers atop a 15 to 20 inch stem. It is a sequential bloomer, which means the blooming of each flower bud is staggered over the period of a month or two, so there are usually a few flowers open at a given time; also, it is common for a flower stalk to branch a side stalk which also blooms out over a month or two. The foliage is compact and makes the delicate floral presentation of this species more pronounced, which makes this a lovely and space-saving, species for indoors.
