This petite, Caribbean species produces a colorful cluster of 5 to 7 cerise-pink flowers atop a 15 to 20 inch stem. The foliage is compact making the delicate floral presentation of this species more pronounced, and also makes this a lovely and space-saving, orchid for indoors.
A charming feature of this plant is its' sequential bloomeing habit: the bloom-time of each flower bud in the cluster is staggered over the period of a month or two, prolonging the bloom time. Also, it's common for a flower stalk to branch a side-stalk which also then blooms out over a month or two.
Established blooming-size seedlings.
'Seedlings' are the offspring of pollination; as siblings these may be very similar, yet each seedling is unique and no two seedlings are truly identical in precise color or shape.
