A true Laelia in miniature, this charming species blooms a profusion of crisp, fragrant flowers. The select plants offered here are divisions of a plant that was collected in 1975 in the mountains near Maztalan, along the Mazatlan Durango Highway! A very compact plant with foliage that is often between 8 and 10 inches, overall height when in bloom is about 12 inches.
The name 'albida' refers to a very exceptional trait peculiar to this species : that white is its typical color! This may not seem so strange at first, until you consider that white coloration is typically a remarkably rare occurrence among Laelias. This is a very resilient plant, it grow well outdoors with Laelia anceps.
