Considered a miniature Cattleya this compact primary-hybrid is from the cross between two outsanding Brazilian species: Cattleya pumila and Cattleya sincorana. The flowers are up to 3 inces across, each blooming singly on new growths, and tinted shell-pink all over with a contrasting fuchsia marked lip.
These light-loving flowers require bright blooming conditions to intensify their color. Usually this color form is quite pale when a bud firsts open, often showing only a pink medial-line, with overall color soon intensifying in the bright light after the bud opens.
The plant only stands about six inches tall, and it may be small, but it is mighty: it has a superb tolerance of seasonal temperatures, between 27-100 degrees F, so we grow these outdoors year-round! They are an excellent growing companion for Cymbidiums and Laelias.
Temperature Tolerant. September blooming.
