SBOE Silent Auction 2003 BIDDING HAS ENDED! Online Auction List | Printer Friendly List The Annual Silent Auction gives us the opportunity to release newly awarded varieties for the first time, plants that are rarely available because we have only a few in stock, and some of our specimen plants that are not usually for sale. This year’s auction features plants from SBOE as well as from the private collections of two locally prominent hobbyist-growers, S. Robert Weltz, Jr. and Bill Robson. Call or email if you have questions concerning the descriptions of plants. Bidding Procedure: The SBOE Auction is a silent auction, which means each person bids without knowing what others are bidding (i.e. the status of the bidding or the number of people they are bidding against). Each plant is listed with its Minimum Bid (MB). The MB is the lowest dollar amount for which a plant will be sold. When all the bids are in, the plant is SOLD to the highest bidder for the amount they have bid! The Auction closes for bidding at 4pm, Sunday, November 2, 2003. No bids will be accepted after closing. The Auction is open now for bidding; bidders may bid online directly from the online auction list, or phone, email, fax, mail, or deliver their bids to SBOE before closing. The bidding form below may be used for your records, or for mailing a bid to SBOE. Simply indicate your contact information, the item number(s) you wish to bid on, the amount you are bidding, and a means of payment. Winners will be notified during the week following the bidding deadline and may pick up plants or have them shipped to them. Shipping costs are not included in the price of the plant and will vary greatly according to the size of the plant. |
